First light

and I have miles to go, its

no disparate than every day.

I see my dog, amicable

and how I wish I could

lay down and unbend, put to rest

the body, but

time is compact, minute

and exhausting. There are no doors

between myself and, the work.

However, enough between

myself and life.

And so far, I’m alive

seeking means to unlock

the heart and, the mind.

I feel what they’re feeling,

the people, in distant lands

living my soulful longings.

Only if I could take a passport

to destinations unknown, dreaming.

In a foreign city, of a

foreign country

I wake and

disappear into the world, beaming.
